Agrodolce is Italian for sweet and sour. Caponata is a Sicilian dish combining aubergine, courgette and tomatoes in an Agrodolce sauce! Packed with carotenoids, flavonoids, inulin and soluble fibre it tastes epic too! A prefect plant based main course teamed with giant couscous or pearled spelt. Any left-overs are delicious spread upon Nizi’s Siciliano Sourdough. Especially if lightly toasted as the warmth enhances the flavour of the sesame seeds.
Empty contents to saucepan and gently reheat, stirring regularly until piping hot.

Preheat oven. Remove lid. Place onto a baking tray in the middle of the oven.
Fan 170°C, Electric 190°C, Gas Mark 5.
Cook for 35 minutes
Allow to stand for 1 min before serving. Ensure food is piping hot before serving.
Pierce lid or remove and cover with microwaveable plate. Place on microwaveable plate. Cook on full power.
Microwave 3 mins 30 secs > stir well & re-cover > 2 mins
Allow to stand for 1 min. Ensure food is piping hot before serving.
Should this product defrost keep refrigerated and eat within 48 hours. Follow the oven guidelines but cook for 15 minutes.
Steam may be released when removing lid.
